Liz and I had originally planned a WDW trip for Spring Break of 2020. Thanks to COVID, that obviously didn't happen. Then we moved it to October 2020, April 2021, and October of 2021, none of which happened as we didn't want to travel before we were all vaccinated. So, FINALLY, we were able to go this year!
We started, as usual, with car pickup. It was just Lizzy and I, but we still got a limo for social distancing purposes :)

We got to the airport and did our traditional photo with the race car - same one that was there when we traveled at Christmas.
We had time to kill, so breakfast at SkyClub in her favorite seat!
Our flights down to Orlando were uneventful, and we arrived at Fort Wilderness and got checked in. We had reserved a golf cart for the week, so we picked up our wheels and headed to our cabin.
We got settled and unpacked, got cleaned up, and then figured out the internal bus system to get over to Trail's End restaurant for our dinner reservation. It was all you can eat BBQ and it was WONDERFUL!
We did manage to take our uneaten cornbread back to the cabin. Behold, the cornbread, carefully wrapped!

After a great night of cabin sleep, we got up early to rope drop at Epcot. We rode a TON of rides, a combination of using Genie+ and timing our attraction visits just right. We also stopped for some bubble tea.

Then we headed over to Remy's Rattatouille Adventure, greeted on the outside of the attraction by this magnificent rat-head fountain!
After Remy, we started to head out of Epcot, but first got to see our favorite Disney dog.
Monorail blue to Magic Kingdom!
After 3 years of not visiting the Magic Kingdom, our first stop had to be to say hi to Mickey. Apgologies for the blurry picture, we were in a hurry!
We had to secure the pink and yellow teacup.
Small World is one of our favorite rides. Don't judge us.
Lizzy has ALWAYS wanted one of the balloons within a balloon, but every time she asked in the past it was our last day and it didn't make sense to get one if we were flying home the next morning. This trip, we made sure to get one on our first park day so we could enjoy it at the cabin for the duration of the trip.
Late this evening Dad arrived to spend the rest of the week with us. Hooray!

Good morning from Clarence the balloon.

Good morning from Clarence the balloon.
We had brunch at Trail's End...all you can eat brunch. It was a LOT of food.
This day was a rest day, and after his late arrival and our heavy park day the day before, we needed it! in the evening, we headed to Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs for dinner. The food and service were both incredible, and while they didn't have roe on the menu, Lizzy asked for it and they brought her this whole bowl of roe (and didn't even charge us for it!)

Today was a Hollywood Studios morning for Liz and me (Dad stayed at the cabin to get caught up on work). We did Rise of the Resistance and Millenium Falcon first thing, Toy Story Midway Mania, and had time to watch a fun cartoon short, visit Potatoland (if you know you know), and see Chip and Dale all before lunch.

We headed back to the cabin for an afternoon break, and then went to Epcot for Soarin' (our favorite) and pizza dinner in the Italy pavillion. A great day!

This beautiful, sunny day was spent at Typhoon Lagoon, with hours and hours enjoyed in the wave pool. Dinner was at Wine Bar George at Disney Springs. It was such a fun day!

Animal Kingdom morning - of course we had to visit our favorite plant in Pandora, get a new Banshee (named Othar) have lunch at Satuli Canteen (another of our favorites), and get up close and personal with a giraffe.

We did horseback riding in the afternoon - Lizzy's horse was named Duncan and mine was Hudson - and in the evening we headed over to Magic Kingdom for a few hours before having dinner at Steakhouse 71.
Once again, we secured the pink and yellow teacup. It was the only acceptable option.

Hollywood Studios with Dad! We tried both flavors of milk (blue and green), rode Star Tours multiple times, Millenium Falcon, Rise of the Resistance, Toy Story Midway Mania, and enjoyed a visit to Oga's Cantina. It was a very fun day!

Back to our lovely little cabin before some pool time in the afternoon. In the evening, we got food from the many food trucks at the resort and played Sabacc.

Our last park day was spent at Epcot. We rode Mission Space multiple times, Soarin' (of course), and several other favorite attractions. We always enjoy Club Cool.

We scored a coveted lunch reservation to Space 220 which was SO MUCH FUN!
We spent the (slightly wet) afternoon doing the Easter egg scavenger hunt around World Showcase. The prize she chose for completion was a Figment tumbler, which is her new favorite drinking vessel.
In the late afternoon, we headed back to the cabin to get packed up and head home the following day. Farewell WDW, until next time!
