Elizabeth's three month birthday. So, obligatory monthly photos. I'd also noticed that when she'd fall asleep holding my hands, she liked to interweave her fingers with mine. So sweet...

Mommy got back to her pre-pregnancy weight! The wonders of breastfeeding.

Daddy's 31st birthday. We went out to dinner, and someone was a very happy girl.

This is such a fun age. She REALLY played in her Exersaucer for the first time. She started exploring the volume levels of her voice. And all weekend she would crack up with the most genuine belly laugh when we'd go over to the little table under the big mirror, hold her by the waist, and say "Lizzy...Lizzy...Lizzy...JUMP!" and jump her up in the air. She began to anticipate it and would start laughing when we'd head over to the table.

Lizzy has discovered how to make a growling noise, and now likes to growl, especially when she's getting a nappy change.

Since Elizabeth is now sitting up independently, we decided to put her in her high chair to see how she'd do. See for yourself.

She wants to walk so badly, but her little legs just aren't strong enough and she gets so frustrated.

The one year anniversary of her conception. She decided to celebrate by rolling over from her back to her tummy. And again. And again. She can now roll both directions, sit up independently from a laying position, sit unsupported on the ground, sit in a high chair, and growl like a scary monster. Also, during her bath, she discovered if she kicked her legs a fun splash would result. Then laughter ensues. She's so much fun.

Grandma and Grandpa got Elizabeth a walker. Right away, she took to it, moving all over the place like a natural.

The sippy cups we had purchased said 4+ months on them, so we figured she's only 8 days away from being 4 months, so why not give them a try? She got a few drops out on her own the first try.

Elizabeth got to spend the day with her Great-Aunt Monica. Once she came home, we weighed her and she was 14 lbs, 14.5 ounces. She was already outgrowing her 3 - 6 month jammies, and she's wasn't even 4 months old yet. At bedtime she didn't want to go to sleep. She wanted to roll around and play on her tummy instead.

Elizabeth went swimming for the first time, and she loved it. We got her a little "Lizzy boat", and she was content to float around in it for long stretches of time. Sometimes we'd get out and she'd kick her feet while we held her at the water's surface in a swimming position. She was worn out afterwards!

Daddy taught Elizabeth how to blow raspberries. So much slobber results, but it's so funny to see her do it.

It was pretty cold today, so we tried to go through some hand-me-downs to find some warmer clothes. We found some 6-12 month items, put them on her...and they fit. Perfectly.

Decided to give a taste of solids a try. We didn't want to do the non-nutritive rice cereal (don't get me started on why that stuff is awful), so we went to sweet potatoes. She was opening her mouth with anticipation, swallowing completely and showing no tongue extrusion reflex, leaning for the spoon, grabbing the container…so I think it was a hit.
